What is a financial plan?

  • A financial plan is a written path to the achievement of your personal and financial goals. It is uniquely designed for each client based on goals and circumstances.

Why do I need a financial plan?

  • You need a financial plan to identify and coordinate all aspects of your financial life so that you can achieve your goals and experience the highest quality of life available to you.

What is included in a financial plan?

  • Creating a financial plan is a process of analyzing your entire financial life and goals. There are generally six aspects of financial planning that are addressed as needed. The first is an assessment of your current financial position. This assessment may include the construction of a statement of financial condition (assets, liabilities, and net worth), and a budget. The other aspects of the financial plan are investment analysis, taxation planning, education planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. The applicable aspects relevant to your situation are combined to form your individual plan.

How is the plan put into action?

  • The plan is put into action through purchases or sales of financial products such as insurance and investments. The plan may also recommend changes in other areas such as savings or spending. The actions taken are done so in response to your needs and goals.
